Friends of Nagoya International School, Inc. is an organization operated exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes providing support to Nagoya International School.

On August 1, 2019, we were officially recognized as a U.S. Public Charity under Section 501(c)(3) by the U.S. tax code. This allows donors the maximum amount of deductibility for their U.S. dollar donations. Donor receipts will be provided and should be kept as evidence of contributions.

Our governing documents, policies, and procedures ensure that we follow strict rules in order that your donation will reach NIS promptly and without undue costs. Our Board consists of three volunteer members; all are NIS alumni and one is also an employee of the school. While FONIS is not part of nor controlled by NIS, we are an integral part of the school’s fundraising.

Donate Now, for a bright future

Since its founding in 1964, NIS and its students have benefited from the generous support of businesses, governments, parents, alumni, and friends in the community. This support has been given through charitable contributions of money, time, and resources, and has enabled NIS to continue to provide quality education to the Nagoya community. With your help, Friends of NIS hopes to be a significant supporter, helping NIS deliver the school’s mission to every student, every day.

Friends of Nagoya International School, Inc. is a U.S. tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and contributions to it are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
